Plantain chips are an appealing snack to many people. Some prefer the ones with pepper, others love them just plain.


  • Unripe plantains, 5 – 6 heads
  • Vegetable Oil, 2 cooking spoons
  • Dry Pepper, 1 or 2 tablespoons (optional)
  • Salt to taste


  • Peel the unripe plantains and slice in long strips.
  • Sprinkle with the dry pepper (if desired) and salt and mix well.
  • Fry in the vegetable oil.
  • Serve and enjoy!
